The Short Version - William Saunders was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in both Kansas City and Raymore in Missouri, USA. Annexing of land for the 71 Hwy project, displaced William's parents from Kansas City to Raymore in the late sixties. In this small piece of Americana, he formed his creative foundation. His musical influences ranged from groups such as Fleetwood Mac, Led Zepplin, Rush, Pink Floyd, Wings and Allan Parsons to jazz influences like Pat Metheny, Jaco Pastorius and Jon Luc Ponty. His musical fiber also was richly filled with Acoustic music and Bluegrass. This stemmed from his childhood friends the Spills family.

He describes his experiences in Europe and Central America as "monumental" for shaping his current philosophical and musical views. During this period, a sharp honing of artist skills occurred.
